Nassau County Young Democrats is dedicated to empowering young people (ages 16-36) to create a positive impact on their communities through a combination of political engagement and charitable work. We believe that both are critical components of creating lasting change.
On the political front, we work to promote progressive policies and endorse Democratic candidates who share our values. We recognize the power of the political process to shape our communities and advocate for issues that directly affect young people, such as climate change, income inequality, and social justice. We engage in voter registration drives, canvassing, and phone banking to encourage more young people to participate in the political process and make their voices heard.
In addition to our political work, we also prioritize charitable efforts to support our community. We volunteer regularly with organizations such as the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, which provides support and opportunities for young people in our community.
